Mission

The Center of Systems Security and Information Assurance is dedicated to promoting research and education in information security, assurance, and privacy. The Center was established by the UIS Campus Senate, Resolution 37-13.

  • Facilitate faculty efforts to obtain and administer grants and contracts in cybersecurity.
  • Support faculty development, research, and scholarship in information assurance.
  • Support course, curriculum, and laboratory development.
  • Expand outreach and partnership opportunities with public and private sector organizations.
  • Increase participation from underrepresented groups in cybersecurity.
  • Host local and regional public affairs events related to security and information assurance.
