Dr. Xiang Huang is an assistant professor of Computer Science at UIS. Prior to joining UIS, he received his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2020 from Iowa State University. Before that, he was a visiting assistant professor at Le Moyne College, Syracuse, NY (2019-2020). He received his bachelor's degree in Software Engineering back in 2009, from Nanjing University, Jiangsu, China.
He is interested in theoretical computer science in general. His current research interests include algorithmic information theory, analog computing, quantum computing, and molecular programming. He teaches Discrete Math (CSC 302), Algorithms (CSC 482), and is developing courses related to his research.
